Lovers Key

Slow things down and take in the natural beauty of coastal Southwest Florida and Lovers Key State Park, an over 2 mile stretch of sugar-sand beach along the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy the beach, listen to the sound of the gentle waves, look for some amazing shells or cool yourself off in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Lovers Key offers not only a wide variety of beautiful shells but also many different kinds of wildlife. Depending on the season you may see nesting ospreys, snowy egrets, great egrets, roseate spoonbills, black skimmers and other shorebirds, as well as gopher tortoises.

This 3-hour ecological tour departs from the Pink Shell Beach Resort in Ft. Myers Beach and includes an approximately 45-minute stop at Lovers Key State Park. On your way to Lovers Key your Captain will meander our covered pontoon boat along the Matanzas Pass and the back bays of Ft. Myers Beach. Along the way you might encounter the playful bottlenose dolphins, threatened manatees, ospreys, great blue Herons and other wildlife. You will pass the shrimping fleet which is located at San Carlos Island and many beautiful homes.

Convenient parking is available at the Pink Shell Resort for all our passengers and guests are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages.
